In August of 2022, previous Riverview High school senior, Sebastian Grabowski hosted the first meeting of his new creative endeavor Rocketry Club. Held at the Faulhaber Fab Lab/Suncoast Science Center, what we now call home. Nearly 20 students from 20 different high schools all gathered to pursue their shared passion for Aerospace, taking part in the construction of a rocket aimed for 10,000 ft, no easy task. We spent 11 grueling months working on this initial project, some members left thankfully many  joined along the way. On July 15th 2023, after a very early Saturday morning and a 3-hour drive to Melbourne Florida, Team True Fire launched its first rocket, Vanguard. Vanguard reached an altitude of 6,400 ft, just over half the designated goal, not quite what we had hoped, although a very reputable starting point. Eventually our founder Sebastian graduated high school with his International Baccalaureate Diploma to study Aerospace Engineering at the University of Colorado. However, before he left Sebastian passed on the reins to Daniel Desear, a Riverview High School Junior not but 2 years younger and a fellow member of the IB program.
